चैत २२, मनिला (फिलिपिन्स) । बहुराष्ट्रिय भारतीय पूर्वाधार कम्पनी जीएमआरले फिलिपिन्समा ७० करोड डलर लागतको एक विमानस्थल परियोजना हात पारेको छ । जीएमआरले फिलिपिनो कम्पनी मेगावाइडसँग संयुक्त रूपमा म्याकटान–सिबु अन्तरराष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलको विकास, स्तरोन्नति तथा सञ्चालनको ठेक्का पाएको हो । फिलिपिन्सको यातायात तथा सञ्चार विभाग, डिपार्टमेण्ट अफ ट्रान्सपोर्टेशन एण्ड कम्युनिकेशन (डीओटीसी)ले यो संयुक्त ठेक्का प्रदान गरेको हो । परियोजनाको कुल लागतमा ठेकेदारले फिलिपिनो सरकारलाई अग्रिम भुक्तानीबापत दिनुपर्ने ३२ करोड डलर समावेश गरिएको छ ।
यसैबीच, डीओटीसीका प्रवक्ता माइकल अर्थर सागकलले एक प्रेस विज्ञप्तिमा जीएमआर–मेगाबाइडलाई विमानस्थल विकास र सञ्चालनका लागि २५ वर्ष अवधिको सहुलियत दिइएको बताए । डीओटीसीको जीएमआरसँग यो आयोजनामा साँठगाँठ रहेको भन्दै एक प्रतिस्पर्धी ठेकेदार कम्पनीले कानूनी चुनौती दिएपछि महीनौंको पुनरवलोकनपश्चात् गत शुक्रवारमात्रै यो ठेक्का सुम्पेको हो । गत वर्षको नोभेम्बरमा भएको टेण्डर प्रक्रियामा जीएमआर–मेगावाइड कन्सोर्टिएमले यात्रु टर्मिनल भवन पुनर्निर्माण गर्ने, अन्तरराष्ट्रिय उडान सेवाका लागि नयाँ टर्मिनल बनाउने र विमानस्थल सञ्चालन गर्ने प्रस्ताव पेश गरेको थियो ।
ठेक्का पाएका जीएमआर र मेगावाइडले २० दिनभित्र आवश्यक शर्त पूरा गर्नुपर्नेछ । यसअन्तर्गत ठेकेदारले १८ करोड पेसोको अपरिवर्तनीय प्रतीतपत्र पेश गर्नुपर्नेछ । त्यसैगरी म्याकटेन सिबु अन्तरराष्ट्रिय विमानस्थल प्राधिकरणमार्फत सरकारलाई प्रिमियम रकमको भुक्तानी सुनिश्चित गर्नुपर्ने बताइएको छ । यसपछि मात्रै आगामी ३ देखि ४ वर्षभित्र परियोजना कार्यान्वयन गर्न दुवै पक्षबीच सम्झौतामा हस्ताक्षर हुनेछ । एजेन्सी
