पुस ७, काठमाडौं (अस) । विश्व बैङ्कअन्तर्गतको निजीक्षेत्र हेर्ने संस्था अन्तरराष्ट्रिय वित्त निगम (आईएफसी) र भारतको ग्रान्धी मल्लिकार्जुन राव (जीएमआर) कम्पनीबीच माथिल्लो कर्णाली जलविद्युत् आयोजनामा साझेदारी गर्ने सहमति भएको छ । यी दुई संस्थाले ९ सय मेगावाटको माथिल्लो कर्णाली जलविद्युत आयोजना र दुई प्रसारण लाइन निर्माणमा साझेदारीका लागि सोमवार राजधानीमा सम्झौता गरेका हुन् ।
सम्झौताअन्तर्गत माथिल्लो कर्णाली र ६ सय मेवाको माथिल्लो मस्र्याङ्दी जलविद्युत् आयोजनाबाट उत्पादित बिजुलीका लागि प्रसारण लाइन निर्माण गरिनेछ । यसले नेपाल तथा दक्षिण एशियामा ऊर्जा आपूर्ति तथा रोजगारी सृजनामा सहयोग गर्ने बताइएको छ । आईएफसी इन्फ्राभेञ्चर ती परियोजनाको सहनिर्माणकर्ता हो । आईएफसीले ती परियोजनामा १ अर्ब ७० करोड डलर लगानी गर्नेछ । माथिल्लो कर्णालीमा झण्डै ३ हजार रोजगारी सृजना हुने र परियोजनाले कार्वनडाइअक्साइड उत्सर्जनमा वार्षिक २० लाख टनले कमी ल्याउने आईएफसीले जानकारी दिएको छ । सो परियोजनाबाट उत्पादितमध्ये १२ प्रतिशत बिजुली नेपाललाई निःशुल्क उपलब्ध हुनेछ । जीएमआरका अध्यक्ष जीएम रावले आईएफसीको लगानी र जलविद्युत्मा विश्वव्यापी अनुभवले माथिल्लो कर्णालीलाई नेपाली जलविद्युत्मा ‘गेम चेञ्जर’ परियोजना बनाउने बताए ।
